I have, for a long time, given "passing thoughts" to writing some kinda JB factual film book. I'm one of those people who dreams about things but never actully finished it

Now obviously the qaulity of what I write would be better than what I write here at CBn as I'd put more effort into a book.

I'd think it would be pretty fun.

No age is too old to start anything Bond.
(of course that doesn't apply to the actors who play Bond) :)

Go for it. One is never too old, nor too young to dive into the world of Bond.

Is there a particular style or look for the book that you've thought of?

The only time you're to old to write a book is if you know you're going to die tomorrow.

At 27, I would place bets on you not being dead any time soon, so I say go for it.

Just be sure to pay good attention to Flemings character and don't do any new fangle crap. Well, that's just my wish, of course :)

Perhaps tidbits of info that not many Bond fans know about.

Not many ideas at present, but to be honest I wouldn't post them here if I had them. It's not that I don't trust you here at CBn :), but I'd be worried about other people who might be thinking of writing a book steal my ideas, maybe that's being dim.

Hi folks, I'm back. :) 27 isn't too old. Part of the fun of the world of Bond, is that it's ageless. So go for it Doc.

Doesn't sound like the most positive reason there, Doc. T. But write away.

I wonder how easy it would be for me to get hold of the Bond actors, screenwriters, Directors for interviews. Those of you who know them are they reluctant to do interviews? :)

Is it true that a persons first attempt a book doesn't usually get published? that you have to try a few times?

What is true, is that you obviously need to do alot more research on the subject.

GOOGLE time :)

Oh I know, I don't have any book ideas at present? I know this isn't gonna be something I'm gonna do in a couple of months :)

I'm very eager at the minute, and I will do it. I can't guarantee that it'd be published or that you'd all enjoy it.

Wasn't the first edition of Benson's Bedside companion completed in 1984 that means it took him 3 years. That seems quick for a book of that size. (or is it) I've only seen the second one, but I think I can make a guess of the size of the first one.

True. :)

Answer me this. How interested would you be to read interviews from the less well known Bond movie actors like John Wyman (Kriegler outta FYEO), Milton Reid (Sandor) and others. That's something that would appeal to me, but that doesn't mean others would like it.

Of course I would, it's always nice to read something hasn't been in every other Bond film book. I for one would love it! :) Never hurts to have too much info too! :)

If enough people here say that's what they'd like, I'll do that among other things :). But I'm not gonna give these guys a hard time when interviewing them, if you get me?

Is it far-fetched of me to think I could interview these guys?

Well, I can't really say, considering I'm not you, but it's always up to you and doing what you think or what you don't think would be appropriate is your choice. I'm sure it will turn out good in the end. It's hard not to be good when you're dealing with James Bond. :)

This is all really good, except a publisher would doubtfully pick up a title based on interviews with 'nobodys' if you get my point.

Then again I could be shocked beyond shock and it could sell like hotcakes, either way, I say you go for it, because i've always said about my own works, if even 1 person other than me liked it, it was worth it.
