-I've went to a beachfront hotel that resembled the Miami hotel in Goldfinger and introduced my myself Rinaldi... Danny Rinaldi, to a girl in a bikini (and got her number!).

-Used an umbrella to slow down as I was jumping off a high surface. (FYEO)

-Snowboarded (AVTAK)

-Driven a snowmobile (DAD)

-Challenged my "nemesis" to a sports activity, won, and embarrassed him in front of a large number of people.

I snuck around an all girl dormitory for quite a while, a la Bond at Piz Gloria, but, alas, I only slept with one girl...

I slid a bike on its side on the road under another vehicle (a la Bond in Never Say Never Again)

I've been shot at in the snow (too many Bond films to count)

I challenged him to a game of handball and he just happens to be the number #1 ranked player on my high schools handball team and he has the reputation in my neighborhood for being the best. Anyone on these boards from New York knows that handball a very popular activity in New York (especially in Brooklyn).

Believe me when I say this kid has a huge ego, and that actually helped me. Originally it was only going to be an 11 point game but eventually when he started winning by a large margin he said that he wanted a challenge and kept raising the points so we could keep playing until I was enough of a "challenge" for him. This worked to my advantage because eventually he was raised the game to 50 points and I was able to come from behind and beat him. On the final point I hit hard shot to the opposite side of the court and he tried to hit it and lost his balance and fell which was pretty embarrassing for him.

After that he went into a huge rage and had a temper tantrum until everyone was laughing at him and the people who usually hang out there don't look at him the same after that.

Well, that my "Bond" story, lol.

Being a New Yorker and very accustomed to playing handball....nice DanMan. :)

Kind of reminds me of the Gustav Graves/ James Bond Blades encounter, and the enraging temper tantrums. :)

Glad you showed him up.

Well done DanMan - Yes, besting a egomaniac at his own game is a great feeling.

I take it the chap didn't honor any bets or invite you to Iceland for the weekend.

"The court did need a bit of redecorating."

:)

As of this last weekend, I got some more sword play time in with a straight edged Katana and I've also been brushing up on some of my "cunning liguistics" - Japanese is a fascinating language.

My instructor is equally fascinating...

Both with a katana and her mastery of the oriental languages. :)

So far I've only become really good at saying 'Shimatta"

:)

I visited several Bond Locations in Europe (Piz Gloria, Venice, Amsterdam, Paris, Cortina d`Ampezzo, Corfu, Vienna and especially London). I was also in New York and Hongkong.

I was at the Royal Premiere of DAD in the Royal Albert Hall!

I met Roger Moore at the Memorial Celebration for Desmond Llewelyn in 2000 and dined with George Lazenby in Hamburg in November 2002.

I met several Bond Girls at the Memorabilia in Birmingham f.e. Maud Adams, Lois Chiles and Maryam d`Abo. Also i met there John Glen, Richard Kiel, Britt Eklund and Caroline Munro, Shane Rimmer and Valerie Leon of TSWLM. I met Desmond Llelewyn 4 times. At the Memorabilia i saw also Alan Hume (Camera), Albert Luxford (the Gadget-man), Norman Wanstall at the Planet Hollywood in London.

I travelled also to the Places of GF in Switzerland.

My quick list ... some aren't really bond-like, just happend to be things that bond has done in the films.

Parasailing (bond kinda did it in LALD).
Gambled in Vegas on many occasions.
Solo flight in a cessna 152... dont know if bond has flown a 152 - but they are close to 172s which ive seen bond in.
Gone back to a woman's house.
Ocean fishing (bond did it in LALD)
Was a passenger in a helicopter.
Surfed
Shot a gun
Sat in a tank
Water-skied
Jumped off a cliff
Bid in an art auction
Ran across the golden gate bridge
been to the bayou in louisianna
visited the bahamas
smoked a cuban cigar in latin america
made a vodka martini (well i am a bartender)

i'll think of more later

I was in the RAF Cadets for 3 years and got to the rank of Corporal. Did a lot of things with them including flying a light aircraft right over Stonehenge. I also got to fly in a glider which is an experience. Take off is like having a steel cable tied round your groin and pulled forward at 60 miles an hour. That's where you feel the take off force.

Also used to shoot rifles with the school gun club but it was so badly orginised that I left rather quickly. Still, shot a target man through the heart and balls from 25 yards. I've only shot a pistol that was modified to fire on a SAT Range. A SAT range is basically you firing a laser beam at a computer screen. It's almost like a computer game but realistic.

I've done the usual stuff like Vodka Martinis and smoking but I prefer to practice my own idiosyncracies with regards to booze and cigs. I don't want to be James Bond, I want to be me.

Oh, and Mojitos are wonderful but you have to be in the correct mood for one.

Still on for June?

We think so for June.

Don't know if you read the after action report on last CA mission, but stopped by your neck of the woods on the way out. Had a nice dinner at Cafe del Rey in Marina del Rey.

Cheers,

4A
