I would much prefer Dr. No though, how long has it been since they showed that.
I could of course get the DVD, but I much prefer watching them when they are on TV.

Is this the first time Octopussy has made its way to ten?

Seven has the rights to the first three Brosnan films [but GoldenEye hasn't aired for quite a while; wouldn't surprise me if it ended up in Ten's hands over the next few years]. I remember someone saying here that Ten managed to secure the rights to Die Another Day.

Looks a lot like we're going to have Bond on TV all week! A View to a Kill will air Tuesday night.
I'll know by tomorrow what the rest of the week is looking like.

They used to have it, but 10 bought the rights off them.

The Guardian and The Shield return next Wednesday, some incarnation of Law & Order and Hack are scheduled for the Thursday, and a Tom Cruise double in the form of Jerry Maguire and A Few Good Men is set for Friday and Saturday respectively.

LOL! Very subtle.Great! January 4th is my birthday and the best they can do at Channel Ten is to give me "Octopussy". I would have preferred an early Connery. Ah, well...at least they won't be using heroin-flavored bananas to finance revolutions.

To get this thread back on track, I still think it sucks that Ten are screeening "Octopussy". I'm in more of a "Living Daylights" kinda mood this weekend.
Cheers,
Vodka Martino
P.S.- Thanks, guys.

Well, have your people contact my people. We'll set it up. -No, that is a total joke, I have no connections at all.Personally I would love the TV stations to show a Roger Moore movie on my birthday
It would be a very nice treat. I'd love to see TSWLM on mine, however, you don't see too many Bond films in the Summer anymore.

After the usual bad Bond-related puns and such, it gives the lead up for who's in the film...
VOICE-OVER:
[image of Bond] "Roger Moore..."
[cut to Stacy Sutton]"...and... well, who cares? She's a bombshell!"
What a kick in the teeth for Miss Roberts! I was in stitches!

A View to a Kill
Ten, 8.30pm
ROGER Moore (pictured, a shot of him from his knighthood), and A View to a Kill disgrace the other Bond movies. In true 007 style, Bond is assigned to stop computer baron Max Zorin who is planning on triggering a massive earthquake in order to wipe out his underworld competitors (yawn). The best thing about this movie is the Duran Duran song and even that is hard to swallow. Doesn't compare with Sean Connery or even Pierce Brosnan. *
