Luciana Paluzzi (Fiona Volpe in THUNDERBALL) will be at the next HOLLYWOOD COLLECTORS & CELEBRITIES SHOW on Jan. 17th and 18th 2004. She'll be signing her own pics and whatever else you bring along (for a small fee). Admission is $15 or $25 for both days. This show is held 3 or 4 times a year at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn near Universal Studios. Bond celebs frequently appear. Got my page in my Bond Girls book all picked out. :)

Universal horror fans should know that Janet Ann Gallow, the little girl from The Ghost of Frankenstein will be there, as well as Ben Chapman (the Creature) and Julie Adams from The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Also Margot Kidder from Superman(s) I, II, & IV...and star of her own bizarre real-life exploits.

Should be a good show.

Hopefully, this con appearance for Luciana will give her incentive to go to other cons, like Chiller on the east coast. While she's one of my fave Bond gals, no way am I flying to California just for her autograph.

I'll be there one of the days, probably on Sunday. I'll look out for zencat and Athena!

Ry... hope you have better luck than we did. We got to the show around 3pm on Saturday and she had "left for lunch" and she never showed back up. The people in charge told us that they didn't know if she'd be back on Sunday or not... She said she might, but it all depended on if she wanted to go watch Football or not. (we're not sure if we're going to attempt going today yet).

It's pretty sorry when Margot Kidder (superman movie 'Lois Lane') is more reliable than Luciana Paluzzi... :)

So, Ry, did she show on Sunday? Athena and I didn't make it back.

No she didn't. I got there Sunday morning and they said she was at a funeral, but they were taking names and numbers and they said they would call me to send a autograph. It was a little disappointing, but hey what are you going to do. Do you see the, I believe, Italian Dr. No 30 sheet in one of the vendor room. I wanted to ask what the price was, but didn't want to be dissapointed twice in one day.

She was at a funeral? When she skipped out on Sat one of the organizers told us she had said she would come back on Sunday "depending on whether or not there was any good football on."

If she was at a funeral, well, that can be forgiven. But if she was in her hotel room watching football and stuffing her face with nachos, I'd say she screwed us Bond fans better than she screwed Bond.

Zencat, you crack me up. When I read your post about the football game I changed my thoughts on the whole thing. Not too sure what really happened, but what are you going to do I'll let you know if I hear back from their people to get an autograph. Her people said she might try to come back to another collectors show, but they weren't sure.

Well, I hope she does. We did have fun anyway. Athena got some great stuff. Hopefully Kristina Waybourn will come to one. She was going to come to the one Maud Adams came to...but she bailed at the last minute. Funeral, no doubt. :)

Death of careers to mourn, I suppose. :)

Now, as for football, do they mean ours, or what we call Soccer?

Sorry Athena it's been a crazy week and didn't reply here. I was actually really only there to see Paluzzi so I was a little disappointed. I spoke with Margot Kidder for a short bit and that was nice. I was looked around at all the things I can't afford to buy. Oh well. It's still always nice to go.
