Funny Story...depending on how u look at it

Time passed and it wasn't until a few days ago when my wife was speaking with our neighbour and the subject turned to books. I happened to be nearby when I heard my wife say something about the Bond books and how it was strange that none of them had the dust jackets on them.
Well done, Moneypenny, I thought to myself.
My neighbour then told of how she "THREW THEM AWAY" because she thought "THEY WERE UGLY".
WHAT!!!???, I thought to myself.
After the paramedics left, I told her how sought-after these books were with the original dust jackets on them.
She just repeated how she thought the covers weren't much to look at and anyway, the books belonged to her ex-husband.
Just thought I'd share that with you all. After all, why should I be the only miserable one here.
Funny story, though...to some. Ah, well.

I have no idea if this is a true story or not, but I heard of a woman selling a Porche for one dollar. That's right, one dollar. In the divorce agreement, she got the sell the car, and her ex-husband would get half.
Rare first editions....Porches....they are all the same.

First edition Casino Royale without dust jacket = $2000 to $4000.
Not funny.

I think one or two of them might have been, but the rest of them were the real McCoy.
