Earlier this year there was talk on this forum of what people thought about Rob Dougan possibly doing a Bond score. He did the music for the Chateau fight in the Matrix Reloaded. His album Furious Angels contains some great music. Will You Follow Me, is a perfect example of the mans desire to score a film, but that is not the point of this thread.
I want to know what people think of Rob Dougan doing a Bond theme song. Some of his music is used as the theme tunes to both Law & Order and its spin-off.
I seriously recommend all to hunt down this mans album and listen to his music - a mix of an 122 piece orchestra and drum and bass.
His lyrics are slightly morbid, but he can also write romantic and touching words.

I've heard Rob Dougan's stuff - I have the instrumental version of "I'm Not Driving Anymore" (which was used as the theme to the Law and Order series), and I think he could probably do a good job on a Bond theme.

He'd be a great choice, I think. Dougan has this ability to mix classical and modern "techno" music together (e.g. Clubbed to Death, Chateau, etc.) and I think such a mix would be something unique and positive for the title song.
Earlier I made a thread about Don Davis being considered for composing a Bond movie; I also happen to think that Dougan would be a good alternative.

...But he can't sing to save his life!
His music does sound rather predictable in parts and a little samey, but he has a great epic sound that befits high-drama action pieces quite well. His album is a great buy though, and I found the re-release with the additional CD of instrumentals amusing, because I like to think something was said by his record company about his singing voice.

Admittedly he isnt the best singer in the world but it's good to see there is some talent in a world where people do not tolerate but infact love the
ing Cheeky Girls!
And there seemed some real emotion behind Left Me For Dead, and even if he only did the music for the song (he produced the strings for the current Sugababes track) he did drunken bar singing very well in drinking song and could have a very good little cameo in a romantic scene...
