Will Bond 20 be an Octopussy-like political thriller? (I hope so)

I enjoyed Octopussy a lot. One of the better political orientated Bond movies. Imagine what could have happened if the bom went off! The results are very very dramatic. The Cold War would be alive again. And now we have got a story about the Korean peninsula. I wonder how the Americans are showed in Bond 20. And I wonder what Kolonel Moon's plans are. Somewhat the same as General Orlov's plans? WEe shall see...............

Octopussy was great! One of my favourites. I do like the political side to it...it would be good to see something like it in B20.

So one half of the film has nothing to do with the second half of the film?

Can't wait.

Come on guys, Octopussy was great! It had a good spy theme going on, and had many memorable scenes. Although Roger looked a bit too old it still is a damn fine film.

Agreed.

An Octopussy style movie without the following elements:
o   Tarzan yell
o   Acrobatic invasion of the villains lair
o   Bond's discrete arrival in a Union Jack hot air baloon

Would be great!!!

and without:
Barbara Woodhouse-esque commands to wildlife,
Bond stymied from saving the world because someone's already using a phonebox,
Bond stopping to apply impeccable clown makeup with only seconds until armageddon,
Bond trying to run in giant clown feet.

We've been missing politics in the series. I'd like to see another rogue general trying to overthrough his government etc.

I hope Bond20 will be a political thriller, and I hope it will *not* be like Octopussy.
