The January 2004 issue of BBC History Magazine has a feature on social and political changes that have influenced the 007 character from the Cold War right up to the present day. It's shorter and perhaps lacking in the depth you'd hope for from a cover article, but it's nice to see some recognition that Bond fans don't just read the entertainment magazines.
