These are *NOT* in a specific order, as I find my ranking of them always changes. :) I'm not even sure if these are my top five, but they are one's that I like a lot.

-GoldenEye Tank Chase =Chaos! :)
-LOTR:2 Final Assault
-Thames Boat Chase in TWINE
-Death Star Attack in ROTJ and ANH (1983 and 1977 respectively) -that was always fun to watch, as I used to a lot more often.
-Car Garage Chase/Seqeunce in TND, once Arnold's music starts, you know you're in for a ride, and I like that scene a lot!

-Well, those aren't my top 5, but they're one's I like a LOT!

Wow, so many to choose from. I'll list the ones that don't include Bond films, in no particular order:

-any action sequence from the Die Hard films
-Schwarzenegger vs. Predator from Predator
-Nazi truck chase and barfight from Raiders of the Lost Ark
-pretty much any action sequence in The Rock, but the end battle and the chase through San Francisco stand out ("I hope you're inshured!")
-car chase in Ronin

French Connection Car Chase

Motor cycle (Steve McQueen) chase fleeing Nazi's across countyside in The Great Escape.

Car chase sequence in Ronin (driving wrong way through traffic.)

Beach Deployment in Saving Private Ryan

Attack behind enemy lines - Kelly's Heroes.

(Must mention also the attack on the Chateau in Dirty Dozen and the great fun of the War Games sequence of the same film.)

Special mention I would like to make also for The Longest Yard.

Nuff said.

DAYLIGHT - Stallone making his way through the giant exhaust fans. The explosion in the tunnel is also pretty amazing. Definitely a film to catch on the big screen if the opportunity arises.

-From Russia With Love: Red Grant- vs. James Bond
-Raiders of the Lost Ark: Nazi Truck Chase
-Seabiscuit: Seabiscuit Race (to me this is an action sequence)

I can't think of anything of any more right this minute that has not been mentioned on this thread.

That is a great scene. But I noticed that when they goes the wrong way on the freeway, they are actually on the right way, and all the other cars or going the wrong way. If you remember, They turn to the left to get on the right side of the road, when they should have gone to the right.

Ohhh....now THAT was mega! And the score before the chariot race started was epic!:)

Alas a poor stuntman lost his life after being horrifyingly crushed and trampled under one of the chariots and by its four horses and perhaps even four other horses from another chariot. :) (You can see the sequence I'm refering to...The director left the brutal shot in the final cut.)

Did'nt "Ben Hur" win something like 9 or 11 Oscars?

One of the ALL TIME greats!

Yes, this is pointed out on the DVD documentary...I only recently saw this when MGM sent out the review copies of the DVD and in the documentary they mention this "blooper"...I was blown away. I guess it's no coincidence that the movie has the same director as "The French Connection"

I did not see the documentary, did they give any explaination why that happened? it is pretty obvious, at least to me.

Here's my top 5:

the truck chase in "raiders"
the clock tower and lightbolt sequence in "back to the future"
the monaco and monza f1 races in "grand prix" (1967)
Cary Grant versus the plane in "North by Northwest"
and the chariot race in "Ben Hur"

by the way, i've read somewhere that the stuntman death thing in "Ben Hur" is a kind of urban legend; that no one really died and that are only dummies getting "killed". Can anyone confirm this?

Yes it is extremely obvious...I will have to go back and check the doc again to see if they have any explanation.

I don't recall Bruce fighting Bolo in any of the movies. Don't you mean John Saxon vs. Bolo? (which wasn't a good fight)

I should clarify, it's the Action Sequence that would have been the best if that was the case.
(John Saxon vs. Bolo wasn't my favorite either, though I love Bolo Yeung would have been great as a henchmen during the Moore era. He's that deadly and silent type.)
