I have just finished this novel co-authored by Kingsley and another man named Robert Conquest. I was wondering if anyone else had read it...?
My copy is a Penguin paperback that blurbs: 'They behaved like spies and talked like lechers but they called themselves the Egyptologists.'
Takes rather a while for the reader to find out what London's Metropolitan Egyptological Society is really about, but its pretty good.
Although I have not read Col Sun (and still believe that it is good) I found the writing style a bit lacking sometimes. This may be Conquest's writing though--I don't know how two authors split the work of a novel.
Anyway, I'd like to know others' thoughts on this book.
