Which book should I get next?:) I have Casino Royale, but I'm caught between On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Live and Let Die, should I get one of these, or a different one, I did think about You Only Live Twice for the scene where Bond chokes Blofeld to death, I help please.

Hi 0014.

Get Live and Let Die next, it's fun to read them in order and then follow up with Moonraker and Diamonds Are Forever and so on.... Of course it is your personal choice. :)

Yeah that's what I was gonna recommend. Mainly because in LALD there are a lot of Casino Royale references so it's best to read them close together so that the events are still fresh in your mind.

LALD. Bond's character is also a little different in OHMSS than LALD, if you read them progressively at least you see the changes that happen and why. Plus its one of Fleming's best novels.

I would follow with LALD but I think OHMSS is a little better.

Cool, 0014! Just so you know, make sure you own either a UK release or the US Penguin 2003 reprint, as it is the only version in the US that contains the complete unabridged novel. It's not that much different, but just so you can have the whole thing.

Oh. The 2003 US Penguin reprint is the only US version that is totally uneditted and unabridged. All other versions, I believe are.

No, CommanderBond. The US Penguin reprints are the first one's in the US to include the full novel of LALD, all the UK one's had it though. It was deemed to racy in the US when the book came out in the 50's.
