has anyone seen the new xmas Tesco advert on TV, with Prunella Scales and Roger Moore? I saw it recently (just now, actually!) and what with the skiing scenes, i thought it something straight out of a Bond movie - lo and behold, there's Rog!

There's already another thread about this somewhere. And yes it is quite a good advert.

And I really have to say that for a man of 76, he looks bloody good, bloody good.
Stay that way Roger!!!. In fact all the Bond Actors look bloody good, bloody lucky swines. LOL.
Cheers

I love this Tesco ad. It's the first one with Prunella Scales in it that I haven't found completely irritating.

He could still be Bond. Probably should be.
And no, I'm not entirely sure if I am joking....

Ahhh but what puzzles me is the movie there all watching on TV..looks like 'The Man with the Golden Gun...but it does not looklike it though..anyone else got any ideas...I suppose those spoilsports at MGM would not give permission to use a 5 sec clip!!!(Down with MGM...arise again United Artists)

I think it's 'Gold'. Not certain, though.

hmm, not sure if its MTWGG. - the shot is all skewed, a bad over-the-shoulder shot that doesn't look like it belongs in a Bond movie. Looks more like an ep of the Saint, maybe

It's not Bond. Pretty sure it could be Gold - it's definitely that era. '74-'75.

hmm, have not seen "Gold" -isn't that abou smuggling? although sounds like its not the type of film he goes round seducing women in! looks more like something out of "the Persuaders", 1971 -ish.

No, that's definitely 1974/5 Roger. He's extremely easy to date facially. For some reason.

As elsewhere on this forum, Gold was shown over Xmas - all confirmed.
