:DWho thinks that EON should make a
Bond film in Australia. And I think it's
about bloody time that they should!

Hi Ajent J.

Here, here. It IS about time. I do not know why they haven't before, there's so much to offer.

Cheers,

Ian

Yes... but I'm biased. :)

Best they use the location differently to Mission: Impossible 2, though.

I've just come back from the Great Ocean Road, and that is THE Australia location for a Bond film. It runs half the span of Victoria's South coast, has some perfect winding roads for a car chase (the scenery from the rain forest is amazing) and a stretches of coast line that equal the White Cliffs of Dover in beauty but dwarf it in size.

Okay back with some photos of the area. I'll start posting them as attachments and they'll be displayed in the subsequent post.

That image is of part of the 12 Apostles. They're made of limestone and other such sediments and have been forming along the coast for about 10 million years. They're slowly being washed away so hurry up and use the location Bond :)

This image is of the cliff faces from the beach, they run a good proportion of the coast along the Great Ocean Road. All aren't as beach like as this, with many inaccessible due to rocky waters (that have claimed many a ship in their time).

This picture is of one of the numerous waterfalls throughout the Otway National Park through which the road runs.

And this is a shot of the Grotto. There's many areas, this is just the perspective from the bottom. You can find other such holes and so on in the area.

Final shot, this one is of the Loch Ard Gorge. It was named after the clipper, Loch Ard, which left England in the 1850's and after 3 months at sea was wrecked not far from the spot. The only two survivors of the disaster were washed into this area and later rescued. Outside of this area (the cave to the right is damn long and where the survivors sheltered) the sea is quite rough and rocky.

Yep, I can see BrosnanBond being pursued by thugs there, then getting the girl in the last image... :)
