Week Five is to be a short challenge, itself combined with The Mole quiz in a few days. After the monster that was challenge four this should cool things down a little. Just don't let it consume you as the last did Tanger.

A simple question. Will The Mole please raise their hand?

Each contestant is to write a paragraph or so on why they are and/or are not The Mole. Your goal is, in one way or another, to convince the other contestants that you are.

Should make compelling reading. You are to post your piece directly into this thread and once all are up the fifth Mole Quiz will be distributed. The fifth question will be, as always, "Who is The Mole" and the contestant whom the most other contestants believe is The Mole will receive exemption. For instance if 3/5 say it is Brendan007 then he will receive exemption. The contestant who receives this lone exemption will be alerted to this via PM but for the first time all players will have to fill in a Mole Quiz. Sorry Trs.

Hmm looks like im first. Here goes...
Yep, i am the mole. Or am I? I could go on like that for a whole paragraph, but I wont. Nothing I say either way will convince anyone because who knows if I'm telling the truth.
So instead I will state one fact. I have made it over halfway through this competion, but I have never won an exemption

An exemption every week, casuing players to use THUNDERDOME as their code word and finally the changing of the questions with Athena (YES--SHE WAS INNOCENT--IT WAS ALL ME) which caused everyone but Athena and myself to take the quiz. What else is there to say? Except finally, even as far back as week one, I must have ignored requests for help from at least two other teammates on the trivia quiz.If that doesn't sound like the mole--what does?

I also ignored a request for help from Tanger in week one, I did a little meddling with matt's treasure hunt and I have occassionally won an exemption. Yes, I am the mole - or am I?

Everyone (or most people) on CBN knows that I have been bugging Daniel and the rest of the staff for permission to get a personal avatar. The magic number is 10,000 posts but if I can get one without typing my fingers off, why not?!

For Challenge One I decided to lay low. I asked my other team members for a lot of help. I'm rather proud of Challenge Two; one of my finest moments. As soon as I recieved instructions for #2 I came up with a clever plan. As soon as possible I changed the password. Unfortunately TRS007 and Bondian were still able to get exemptions. Challenge Three was relatively uneventful. Challenge Four was very interesting. There was some particular strife in Chain One (my chain). Seeing as I gave the question (or should I say "false question") directly to TRS007 (I gave the "real" question to Matt much later) the sabotage went quite well, bringing down DLibrasnow. All in all I'm rather pleased of my work so far.

Now that we're all here we have this week's Mole Quiz. This one is extended, to ensure fairness to each player (they will all know the answer to their own question) and is all about how well you know The Mole. The clever player will figure out the best tactic for success here. Remember the challenge is only half completed - your answers to the final question will determine who gains exemption. Is it worth risking your own survival to ensure that somebody else remains exposed?

This is the big one.

There has been a tie for elimination with two players each receiving two votes. At this stage of the game and with so few players left we cannot give out two exemptions and thus the exemption has been randomly drawn, and the winner notified privately.

This is the work of The Mole.

We now face a first - another tie in The Mole Quiz itself. Two players have each received the same score and are facing elimination. Each will thus answer asupplementary three question Mole Quiz. He or she with the lowest score in that will be eliminated. I cannot urge these two players enough to take this quiz very seriously. Both received the lowest scores, so clearly a rethink of some kind will be necessary.

Elimination will occur once both players have responded.

The game is getting tighter then I ever could have imagined, and this elimination requires explanation.

The eliminated player originally received the lowest score in The Mole quiz. However seeing the player as a worthy Mole Diversion, The Mole manipulated his quiz so that someone else received exemption. Since one of the question's was "Who will receive exemption" this thus changed the outcome of the quiz and created the tie.

Sadly there has been another draw in the supplementary quiz. The game must go on and thus we go back to the original quiz, where without 'Mole Involvement' the player in question would have been eliminated to begin with. It's the only fair way to do this, but it doesn't make it any easier.

Jokes of course, you've been a wonderful contestant and it's sad to see you go. Now, however, I can refer to The Mole as 'he' which makes things a lot easier. You have no idea how many times I had to go back and add "or she" because of you!

Keep watching but be prepared to kick yourself many times over.
