I always liked Dr. No's suit. Somehow, I hated it though when Connery wore it to the dinner, it just didn't mesh.

Do you mean the Nehru jacket? Named for Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of an independent India (1889-1964). The jacket is based on a traditional Indian jacket, is single breasted with a banded collar.

...What about Goldfinger, Diamonds and Golden Gun -- where Bond wears summer weight evening clothes -- white dinner jacket with black pants?

Incidentally, when measured for Diamonds, Sean had something like a 42" chest expansion.
