Very, very different film to the one released, I understand.
Interesting to note that this box set is selling for about half the price of the original one.

Someone needs to tell that to my upstairs neighbors in 20F!

I bought the ALIENS: SE last year thinking that would be the ultimate version. I'm now sold on getting the box set.
I'm eager to hear Juenet's commentary for RESURRECTION. He's an exceptional filmmaker and a true visualist. I love DELICATESSEN & CITY OF LOST CHILDREN. RESURRECTION left me underwhelmed but AMELIE was great. I'm PO'ed that I didn't catch that one in the theater.

I'm surprised that no one's commented on their purchase of The Quadrilogy until now.
BTW, I think AR was a beautifully well made addition to the series.

Well i caved and immediately bought it as soon as i found it cheap enough. I immediately watched the extended Alien 3, and found it to be an incredible improvement. Still not a great movie though. I have a question: Has anyone had the experience of having the various plastic CD holders fall away from the spine?
It's happened to 3 of them already and it's very annoying. Considering the price one paid for this collection one would expect a decent spine to keep things together.

Yeah, it happened to one part on my friend's set when I borrowed it (wasn't me officer, I swear!).I have a question: Has anyone had the experience of having the various plastic CD holders fall away from the spine?

Tends to occur on digipaks like that, moreso if there are nine(!) discs to hold onto. The adhesive itself on sets like that is pretty pliable and rubbery, so just press down real hard on it when it comes loose and refrain from throwing the set around the house (not saying you did in the first place). If that doesn't work, I was going to say hot-gluing it on there, but I'm not sure if it would just make the whole thing a melted mess.
