I do think that Timothy Daltons best Bond movie The Living Daylights was better that Pierce's best Bond movie GoldenEye IMO

Would that be the "other message board" that has software that changes "CBn" into "another Bond site"?

Yes it's one of my favorites. The score is Berry's finest, IMHO.

I think the best Barry score is A View to a Kill but then I am fanatical about the Roger Moore movies!

I don't see how Geoffrey Moore's disapproval of fan-favorites Hugh Jackman or Clive Owen for the James Bond role is news. Why should we care what he thinks? His opinion will be given no more weight than any other person on the street.

Did his father's comments that he would be a great Bond go to his head, and he now wants the James Bond role? Geoffrey hasn't worked in motion pictures since 1993 according to IMDB, and it looks like most of these jobs have been due to nepotism.

I would have liked Barry's score much better for A View to a Kill and given it higher marks if it didn't have the whaling electric guitar in tracks like "Snow Job", "He's Dangerous", and "Goldengate Fight." But on the whole, it's an impressive score.

I don't have a favorite Barry score. There are compositions that I adore, and compositions that I loathe, in each installment that Barry scored.

Even the much maligned score for Man With The Golden Gun has some great compositions.

I certainly wouldn't want to see Geoffrey Moore in the role. I don't think he has the face for it--too fair. Plus, he seems like he may have some of his father's magalomania. Eon doesn't want a powerful actor. They want a doormat.

His fathers meglomania??? What do you mean....Of all the actors who have played 007 Roger Moore is the one who has been least possessive of the role and the most good natured and complimentary of his fellow 007's.

Still no pictures of Geoffrey Moore?

I guess I would need to see Geoffrey Moore's screen test to determine if he would make a good Bond. It didn't seem like his past film roles were much a challenge for him plus the fact that he hasn't worked in film since 1993.

After all this speculation of who will inherit the role from Pierce Brosnan, I wish that Eon Productions would just cast an unknown who is perfect for the part. Frankly, I don't think much of the actors on the short list, there must be someone out there who is currently struggling who is better than Clive and Hugh and the dozen others.

FINALLY! A picture of Geoffrey Moore!

http://uk.fc.yahoo.c...3/46/eb0n4.html

It's fairly recent, less than a month old.

Geoffrey reminds me of Rupert Everett, circa the movie he made with Kathy Bates.

Frankly young Mr. Moore looks more like the Tanner type than the Bond type.

There is a picture of Geoff Moore on Christopher Lee's website. I will attempt to attach it, and the url, though I have no experience with either so I apologize ahead of time. I have no idea how old this picture is, but I know it was taken when Mr. Moore's restaurant opened.
