Can you stay away?

I am totally avoiding all Star Wars Ep.3 info as well as Batman 5 info, but today I made a huge decision. I decided that I will try to avoid as much Bond 21 information as possible. I said that for TWINE and found myself reading spoilers. Same, but to a lesser extent, with DAD. But this is it! I am determined to be surprised in the cinema when I go to see Bond 21.
Anyways, I'd love to hear what film info you guys are avoiding and what you think about steering clear of Bond 21 stuff.

I'm deliberately staying away from Batman 5 spoilers being a huge Batman fan. To be honest, I think that's all I'm really staying away from. Good luck with your attempts Felix_Leiter!

I also remember reading alot on TWINE and I was actually in London during the filming of the Thames Chase.
Short of seeing film dailies everyday, I don't think too much info will ruin a film for me. Since there are too many missing elements that make a film, a movie- now matter how much info I get, I feel I won't be cheated when the movie's finally released.

So will I. I think reading the spoilers was part of what made DAD a disappointment for me. PART of course...

I've always been of the opinion that this was the same with me.
I'd like to stay away from spoilers as much as possible for B21 but this is almost two years away, don't know what will happen until then. Honestly, I know myself good enough that I can answer the initial question: NO, I can't

Yes, I have been following Bond movie developments on the internet since 1995 and the production of GoldenEye and coverage has only increased in the intervening years!

I will probably stay on top of the B21 spoilers, and maybe the next Indiana Jones ones too, but after that, there aren't many movies I care about so, it really doesn't matter.

I remember reading a newspaper magazine supplement dedicated to Die Another Day. It was full of pictures and information mainly behind the scenes stuff. I also saw the trailer of DAD before the film was released. My expectations were definetely raised and that's part of the reason why DAD was a disappointment for me also.

One place to definitely stay away from is Aint It Cool. Although they label their spoilers better now, their talkbacks can be brutal. I remember when TWINE was in production some wise***** posted the twist (althought it wasn't such a big deal in retrospect) in the subject line. I wasn't too annoyed, but I'd still like to have hunted the guy down just for fun.

As for the next Bond, I'll pick and choose what I want to know. When the piece of the script from DAD was released, I chose not to read it. It came as a nice surprise when Q called Bond by my number. Still, it's very difficult not to know about spoilers, especially with entertainment shows and the Internet constantly giving away key plot points without warning.
I remember last year just before DAD was released, I didn't know about the bullet in the gunbarrel. I would have preferred not to know, either, but some feller just blatantly mentioned it in one thread without a warning. Boy, I was pissed. Still, before I saw the film, I just sort of cleared my head of any known information about the film, sat back, and was pleasantly entertained.

Yes, the staff have a hard time keeping on top of these things because threads go up instantly, so my hat goes off for all the hard work the CBN staff did keeping us protected for spoilers with Die Another Day

I like to watch cabel TV - NON commercial television. These days, even the news carries stories of up and ocming films. You just can't escape them ANYWhERE.
Print media, bus stops, radio, televison, newspapers - you have to be locked in a mason jar to avoid them.
Hopefully any previews that I DO catch will not falsely represent how the film really turns out.

That's how it used to be. Watch the trailers for TSWLM: the whole story is told in it.
But today, those people know very well what they are doing. Those aren't movie people any more, they are advertising people. They do marketing research, analyze target audience's reactions and the whole blahblah... And be sure that they have a look at these pages as well, this is a gold mine for them.
Remember when the first DAD trailers were out? There was still wild speculation going on and nobody knew what would really happen (otherwise I think that DAD would have made a little less money).

The trailer for Die Another Day included huge spoilers....we know from the trailer that Bond is captured which I certainly would have only liked to have found out when I was sitting in the movie watching Die Another Day for the first time.
