The only thing scary about Goldfinger is that blue thing Bond wears in the Miami sequence.

I assume its the laser vs. crotch sequence ... that's pretty scary if you're a bloke!

i've just read the gumph on the site and it mentions the famous laser sequence, but come to think of it, that blue thing Bond wears is a lot more scarier. was probably fashionable then, but now slightly suspect...:)

True, but in the context of the film, calling it scary is a real big stretch. Don't get me wrong, I wince like nobody's business when I watch the scene but it's just not that scary.

I would wear one of those things if I was in Miami Beach in 1964. It was probably very cool back then.

Is anyone going nominate Judd Nelson's performance in "Engtangled?"
That was scary!

:)

Probably, and Connery definitely made it look good.

I hate to keep posting this, but no Milton Krest. What's up with the people they asked?

I believe Krest's death was trimmed in the UK so its possible many haven't seen it. Not sure if the scene has been restored or not.

i don't think Judd's in there, sorry. check out the site listed above. he was pretty scary in "cabin by the lake" though - and in the sequel, for that matter, but that was probably unintentional..

btw, if anyone watches channel4's 100 scary moments, make a post to the forum cos i want to know what everyone thinks! i bet "psycho" doesn't make it inside the top 10...

no milton krest, either...its gory, but maybe not scary. so i don't know what "28 days later" is doing in the poll, its gory but not quite scary enough. Cabin Fever was scarier!!

Hey Girl!

When I mentioned Judd Nelson...I was kidding. His performance was scary...but Entangled is not a scary movie. Just a bad one. ;-)

yeah, i know (i've seen the film too), i was only joking too! CBTL2 is prob the worst film i've seen, and whats more its one of those "made for TV" fares so that makes it worse!! if u want to see a truly great performance from Judd, then there's always "The Breakfast Club" - phew!

Is it not the girl covered in Gold? I am watching the programme as I type this and at 22:10 we are at number 70 and so far I have seen nothing that could be termed 'scary' yet. The programme is a hodge podge and is including things that really should not be in there - like commercials!

My thoughts entirely KC, I haven't seen the laser sequence either, maybe it's on tomorrow. I think the makers of this show have gotten the term 'scary' confused with..err.....laughable. Did anyone else find the Doctor Who credits scary? Me neither. *coughs*

C4 is making 100 Sexiest moments at them moment, be sure to vote for both Dr. No and Die Another Day at www.channel4.com. Presumably for the Andress entrance and Jinx/Bond sex scene respectively.

Did you see that Emily Booth girl being interviewed? Woof. :)

GG: Why did you see Entangled? What possessed you to do that?

Is it the other actor that is in the film?

yes, i confess it was the sheer Pierce Brosnan value that i watched the film.

actually, i noticed that the laser scene from GF was a nominee for the 100 scary moments and actually didn't feature (or did i miss it?)

A lot of the stuff in there looks dated by todays standards...even "The Exorcist" at the #1 spot.
But its more about how it worked at the time.
I remember some of the commercials from when I was a kid, and hell yeah they freaked me out!

that surprised me actually; i expected that clip to be in the top 10 at least, but i don't think it deserved to be at no.1. Yes its iconic but for me, Alien was scarier!

What the heck was the Judderman commercial doing in that? That was so not scary! I didn't think it was, anyway.

Not scary....but disturbing!

(That was defintely an 'eating cheese too late on a night' kinda concept!)

the same with Alice Cooper and the Basement Jaxx "where's your head at" music video - the 1970's "lonely water" ad was scarier!
