1. Throughout his writings, Ian Fleming mentions a "Truman shirt." What is this?

2. Also, I have been wondering if there is a particular term to describe the type of short-sleeved button-down shirt that Fleming (and many others) wore in the fifties and sixties. I believe that Scaramanga wears the same kind of shirt during his duel with Bond.

I think that that short-sleeved shirt is a "truman shirt," if I am not mistaken.

Not necessarily if, in his fanfic, Nixon wants Bond to wear that kind of shirt.

Maybe that's a guayabera (sp?) that I'm thinking of.
