Also, from a practical POV, it's not...Well...Practical to go stealing gems in really is it? It's just a teenboy fantasy costume, I'm sorely disappointed if this really is the costume they intend to use. They can be sexy without being slutty. The designer obviously can't tell the difference. Bring back Bob Ringwood I say, he had the idea down to a tee.

It's funny how DC used to have the superior comic book films and Marvel had the cheese fests - but now its the other way around.

I had a discussion with a friend last night & I was trying to describe the outfit. We had a slight argument but I felt it was impractical. I mean, how are you going to steal and evade capture in open-toed heels?

Well, DC comics still kick ***. The Catwoman comics are hot, hot, and her costume is spectacular. The problem is Warner Bros.Originally posted by doublenoughtspy

This costume is soooo bad I can't believe it real. It could just be a rejected sketch that someone leaked to cause trouble.

Christ - one would think this was something important. It's an adaptation of a comic book - why shouldn't it be stupid? For Lord's sake, it's Catwoman, not frickin' Proust.

That's a great point, actually. Look at THE PUNISHER, CAPTAIN AMERICA, and even the failed FANTASTIC FOUR. But now there's X-MEN, X2, SPIDER-MAN, and now X3 and SPIDER-MAN II on the way. I guess that some would argue that THE HULK is a good one, but for the most part, I heard negative things about it, and it just looked....I dunno....lousy.

I suppose the folks behind the CW movie wanted to update her look, but they didn't just update it, they cut it to shreds.
Learn well from the X-Men folks -- they kept the costumes on target with the comic book characters.

Supposedly it's about an artist named Patience Price who comes back from the dead as a vigilante, out for revenge on the corporation that had her killed.
If this is true then it sounds more like 'The Crow' in drag.

Could there be a sequence in the film where Berry's character goes to a costume party or Halloween Ball and this is the outfit she wears? She goes as "Catwoman" (via Fredricks of Hollywood), wink, wink. This could explain this design.

It looks more like a spoof suit used in some pørn film post-Batman Returns. Seriously, look at those ears and the sheer tackiness. Halle's Catwoman must be the gutter-

But will real people care?
Hey ho - the internet, specifically fan boards, seem to be the quickest way of getting market research now. Bet they change this as a result of "Batman fans not liking it". Why bother wasting time with focus groups when you can just shove a photo out there, get the opinion almost instantaneously.
What power is wielded by the fans out there in the darkness of a morning where their lives once were, tapping away at the keyboard in frenzy because something from a comic book isn't quite right.
