Hammy? Lazy? That's almost a double-neagative. C'mon Loomis, chewing the scenery requires effort. :)

To be fair, it's not that Ms. Richards can't act, it's just that she's woefully miscast. Had Christmas Jones been an anti-nuke activist, that would've been credible. But to have her as a Nuke specıalıst... The folks at EON could've gone with someone a couple of years older. Hell, I'd go out on a limb and say Natasha Henstridge could've played Xmas.

In any event, the producers and MGM felt the need to go for the younger audience and in the words of Apted, "they had to have that jiggle!" And that was the end result.

True, and talking of effort, Brosnan was trying very, very hard indeed.... or should that be "very trying"? Ah, I give up, Jim's much better at this sort of thing than I am.

I agree that Richards was "woefully miscast", and that Christmas Jones should have been played by an older actress (Rene Russo would have been ideal), but then I tend to think that as a Bond actor ages so should his women - not sure that MGM/Eon would agree, though.

However, none of the flaws in the writing and casting of Christmas Jones can be blamed on Richards. She took the script she was given and did a competent job. Don't get me wrong - it's certainly not a brilliant performance, but to me Brosnan, Marceau, Carlyle and Dench made much more of a spectacle of themselves with their "meatier" roles. On the strength of TWINE, one might be forgiven for thinking that none of them can act.

And I like that "jiggle".:)

Yeah there was, in the sub. You know, when it was turning around and she was soaked and- (gestures wildly) the sub!:)

Granted, it wasn't a Russ Myer type of breast heaving but for the Maxxim set...

I don't know what Denise Richards you're all talking about, but the one I know has all the acting talent of a blow-up doll. She's tolerable only when provided with the finest dialogue and the world's greatest editor.

If she didn't have a good body she would have never set foot in front of a camera.

Congrats, DLibrasnow, in a serious sort of way. May you be blessed with as many sleepless nights as my two little ones have given me.

But regarding Mrs. Sheen, imagine what a nightmare it would be to be her kid and not be breast fed.

I shudder at the thought.

Expecting parents Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have decided to buck the Hollywood trend of fancy names, by giving their child an old-fashioned moniker. The screen stars, who are expecting their first child together early next spring , have opted against anything too flashy for their new arrival, because they don't want their offspring to resent them when he or she gets older. Sheen says, "I think we're gonna go a little old-fashioned and try to keep it simple. Like for boys, Jack and Bob, and for a girl like Sue or Mary. I just think parents don't think 20 years ahead when they name their kid: 'This is my son Shalamar.' It becomes a curse for the child. It's terrible."

Nice to know they have some sense when it comes to baby names. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I feel sorry for these poor kids who have such ridiculous names. Makes you wonder what their school life'll be like?

Oh, and Clinkeroo and Bondfinesse, I'm just wondering: if you knew that Mrs. Sheen' little angel was getting breast-fed, would you be envious of the sprog, or...? :)

I'm kidding, of course.

Well, Clink and Bondfinesse, think of it like this: there's quite possibly an alternate universe out there where either one of you is Mrs. Sheen little bundle of joy.

...Man, I must have watched too much Sliders when I was younger.
