What's the best part of Goldeneye?

I'd go for the cheats. They make me laugh all the time.

The levels, quite a few of them compared with some of the Bond games that followed.

I really like the music, each level has its own style, unliike N64 TWINE which repeated.

The cradle and the Dam were my favourite. Its still the best.

Ah yes, well said Prav. I agree, I always remember being fond of the music cue for Aztec Complex.

I enjoyed the train and silo levels, as was the jungle level.

I loved how accurate it was in comparison to the movie. Some levels are just carbon copies of the sets found in the movie. It was just so cool.

I agree. Unlike the Tommorrow Never Dies PSX game. GoldenEye followed the levels nicely such as Facilty, Statue Park, Archives, Control Center and Cradle.

My love for Goldeneye comes from the replay value that's associated with it. I must have replayed the game at least eight or nine times, and had a blast every time. The multiplayer aspect was also a plus.

The N64 stills holds up, as does this game. It hasn't ceased to be good entertainment yet.

Finally re-bought the game last night, and I had a blast playing it. I made sure the DK Cheat was on, and I had quite a hardy laugh from it. Also, after replaying, I realised that the music throughout the game is spot-on. Simple, but very Bond-esque.

I just love this game. :)

Toss on the DK Cheat as well as Fast Animation to see a very odd looking Baron Samedi in the Egyptian level sometime.

I never cared for DK mode. Nor the fast or slow animation. Guns, ammo and invinciblilty were the best. I used the double phantoms alot. Made it feel like I was on the stealth boat in TND.

I used to love the 007 Mode that allowed you to edit the levels so that enemies could have more/less health, accuracy etc.

I like that, but it really didn't have that much impact.

Nothing better than the multiplayer. Had a foursome on it with my brother and two of his buddies (all competent at the game, which was good) the other night.

Fantastic stuff.

I played GE 64 just once, it was a cool game.

But Perfect Dark ruined it for me :)

"You know you're oldschool when every gets together for Halo 2 parties with their Xboxes and you bust out the ole N64...." First thing, Compliments "Oy! Whats wrong with the 64?!?" Old school, my a** :) I don't play any of the new crap on like X-Box and those because the controls are too confusing "Okay, press the abr button while holding your tongue and saying rubber baby buggy bumpers and screaming like a banshee" and what does it do. Gives you your next weapon! Of course, in it's defense, when I first saw the 64 controller, the trigger on the back confused me and I didn't think I could get into it, so who knows.

And to Sam Fisher, PD ruined it for me too. Don't feel bad. I still prefer TWINE for 64.

Todd
(Wish you had a run smiley. Ezboard has one it is sooo cool.)

replayability was the best aspect, i still play it now and it came out in 1997!! thats almost 9 years! and when people come over for parties at my house they all want to play GE!! DK mode with 4 ppl is soo funny! hahahaha

and aztec was cool cause it was moonraker... and i love moonraker!!!

but i reckon you should have killed blofeld in the last level cause he was in so many bond movies, and a fun house where u kill scaramanga would have been the best!!

still, i strongly agree with how the music represents every level, like dam, facility, bunker 1, silo, caverns, cradle and aztec had awesome music!
