Action hero Harrison Ford said he would love to play the "bad guy" in a film, but said he never gets any offers because villains never get the lead role in Hollywood movies.
The 61-year-old actor said he would enjoy the challenge of a bad guy role for a change of pace.
"Certainly, but in American films the bad guy is never the central character, but instead the counterpart to the hero," said Ford, when asked if he wanted such a role.
"So I never even get offers for roles like that. Although it would definitely be fun because the bad guys can really go all out in their scenes. But as just an ordinary hero, I can't go all out."
How would you feel about Harrison Ford playing a Bond villain, if that's the type of role he's looking for?
I think if it's handled properly, he could make a damn good villain, along the lines of an Elliott Carver or another tycoon type character with a secret desire for world domination ... I doubt it'll ever happen, but what do you think to the idea?

Wait, another example. Pierce Brosnan has made a good career out of playing charming sophisticated rougues. When he gets down and dirty like in Grey Owl or Tailor of Panama, people turn their heads.

I still believe that Bond should be an unknown and I would change James Bond instead of the Directors every Movie. Besides how can James Bond survive over 40 years without ageing?.
Bond needs to be real hence Harry is a good choice, but what about the others?.

What's wierd is that I saw a publicity still of Ford in a tux in the early 1980s and thought he would make a great 007.

He had played a villain before in "The Conversation" also, but that was before he had struck it big.
