My French is a little weak, but in case you are interested Raquel Welch's name appears with Faye Dunaway and Julie Christie as considerations for Thunderball in the "Licence de Tuer" book by JM Paland p89.

Yes Julie Christie was first considered for the role and then the poducers actually signed Welch for TB (but released her so she could make "Fantastic Voyage"). The casting for TB is covered in detail in the Rubin book...

this is the first ive heard of this ....very intersting...i think she could have made a way better domino than Claudina Auger. The reason i didnt like her role because of her voice over. Of course we all know that the same person did the Voice over for Ursulla Andress. They sound the exactly the same. She could have done an accent or something.

Ill have to check out Fathom. I saw it on the deal that they had with the Our Man Flint and In Like Flint dvds. But since you recomend it DLibrasnow, I'll check it out.

I would definately recommend "Fathom"....I own it on DVD...It's a movie I have always enjoyed --- plus Welch is so sexy in it!
