There's just nothing anywhere close to being as fun.

It got me into the series of films. It was the first console FPS I had ever played. The team that made the game (Perfect Dark for N64 & the TimeSplitters series as well) are basically famous for their efforts w/ those games in the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre.
The multi-player mode was revolutionary at the time and a total blast, it had a whole lot more options and customization than any other future Bond games, cool cheats, and well designed gameplay and levels that honestly haven't been topped.

However, I think the James Bond 007 game for the Game Boy nailed the feeling of being Bond in the level where you had a hotel room, had to gamble and win enough money to gain access to a VIP area, and dispatch henchmen with either your fists, a machete, or your PPK.
I don't know that a free roaming "GTA" style game would work for Bond but I really think the games of late don't make you 'feel' like Bond. A Bond game should have you drinking, gambling, smoking, staying at a nice hotel, bedding women PG-13 style, driving, investigating, and spying for the meat of the game. Run and gun FPS with a couple breaks in the action for scripted 'bond moments' and gadget use doesn't work for me.

GoldenEye 007 without a doubt is my favourite Bond game. It is just magic.
I also like From Russia with Love. Not enough people enjoy that game. I must be crazy.

You're not crazy. I enjoyed FRWL as well. Of course, I also liked Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, so maybe I'm crazy.

Everything or Nothing. Goldeneye 007 would be number 2.

Goldeneye. The nostalgic value, still listen to the soundtrack from the game, which is absolutely incredible.

Everything or Nothing, for me.

GoldenEye 007. Period.
Agreed.
GoldenEye 007 is the only great Bond game. Everything or Nothing is a good entry, not spectacular but a good, solid game. The rest of the games are just varying degrees of pathetic.

Everything or Nothing by a mile. I've tried to get into GoldenEye 007 a couple of times, but it always just feels like another shooter. The remake is a joke but that's neither here nor there.

GoldenEye pretty much defined the first person shooter and multiplayer genre. EON and Bloodstone were amazing because it came the closest to playing out like an actual movie. But I honestly think Nightfire will always be my favorite.
