004 walks frm the practice range, up the stairs, toward his own office.

He is still carryi8ng his silenced beretta.

A ciggerate hangs out of his morth.

His eye are a bit glassy.

*A Hard Blink*

See's 009 stepping out of office and walking down hall.

004 starts to call her, when 002 steps out, gun in hand.

004 steps back out of sight. 004 takes a peek from a lower angle.

They walk away from him and inot Dr. Warmflashes office.

004 snaps in his ear piece.

He hears Dr. W.'s doot close.

Calling on earpiece "003 - HERE WE GO!"

004 waling quickly but very quietly to the outside of the door and listens for anything.

*009 and 002 step into Molly's office*

Molly: Back so soon?

002: I thought it better to keep her here for a while... until we're sure she's alright again.

Molly: I do agree, but... Joyce?

*looks at Joyce*

009: Um... yeah... you're probably right. Sorry, it's still just a bit of a blur really. I can't really remember much of what I did. I TOTALLY understand if you don't trust me anymore.

*looks at 002*

009: I guess I will have to win your trust again.

*002 puts gun away*

002: We'll talk. Soon.

*is about to leave office*

009: Xen?

*002 turns around at door*

009: Matt... Did I hurt him? Is he alright?

002: Physically... yes, he's fine. But I think you two need to talk.

*009 nods*

Matt holster his beretta and walks auietly down the hall to his office and silently colese the door.

Something is missing.

Why-?

004 pours himself a glass of MacCallan 18 and adds three ice cubes.

After taking a sip, he holds his glass up to the light, looking at the amber color. A thought strikes him. And he come to the realization that there is one way.....to find out if 009 is back in place....

"Ahhh. I'm going to hell"

*Molly opens door to small room adjacent to her office*

M: Why don't you try to get some sleep?

*points at bed*

009: I will. Thanks.

M: Yell if there's anything you need.

*leaves office*

*009 sighs and gets into bed*

*closes eyes*

009: This is going to be fun

*009 puts gun to 004's head*

*009 opens eyes again*

004 finishes his drink, landing the empty glass on his desk with a bit of a thump.

He checks his Beretta. Pulling out the clip replaces it with another and chambers a round into the pipe. He threads on a different silencer. Holsters the weapon.

He goes to his closet and takes out a .357 Magnum. Opens up the cylinder and emptys the shells. Pulls a speed loader off the shelf and changes the rounds. With a flick of his wrist, he flips the cylinder back into the weapon. He disengages the safety. 004 puts this weapon in his belt. It is a tad obvious, if his jacket is open.

004 leaves his office, turning out the light, and closes his office door walks to Dr. Warmflashes office.

*tries to go to sleep*

*but just can't*

*is disgusted with herself*

004 enters Dr.Warmflashes office.

004's jacket is unbuttoned. His Ruger .357 is showing a bit at his beltline.

*Polite* Is 009 about the place. There is just a few questions I need to ask.

Molly stares at him. She notices the gun.

Molly: She's asleep. She's not to be disturbed.

004: Five minutes.

Molly: No. And please leave now, or I'll call security.

Looks at Dr. Warmflash.

Doctor, I AM security here.

I tell you what....let me look in on her and if shes resting...I'll leave...simple as that.

Through that door isn't it?

Molly sighs.

M: Alright, alright. But leave that gun here.

Sorry, a 00 agent is REQUIRED to carry a firearm at all times. You should know better than that, doctor. *004 tucks the weapons deeper and more out of sight.

I'll just look in on her.

004 quietly opens and walks through the door, closing it quietly behind him, making sure the doctor remains outside.

004 walks very softly into the room, if 009 IS asleep, she wont be likely to awaken.

004 stops and listens.

009: Who's there?

*switches light on*

004 is standing at the doorway.

009: Oh. It's you.

There is an awkward silence.

009: I remember what I did. I remember shooting Xen. I remember hitting Molly. I remember kicking Bryce. I remember... almost shooting you.

004 watches her silently.

009: It wasn't me. It was me... but it wasn't... I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry.

004 walks over to the bed and sits beside her.

"Just look at me for a second and shut up, will you please."

Joyce sit up and Matt leans forward to help her adjust her pillows so she can sit up more comfortable. They are very close during this. Matt tries to keep himself open to see how she responds.

He sits back a bit and looks into her eyes.

"Joyce. Tell me. Who am I?"

009: Who are you?

004: Who am I?

009: You're Matthew O'Shawnessy. Agent 004. Matt.

*looks him in the eyes*

009: My Matt.

004 closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

004 nods slightly: I want to be YOUR Matt.

He pulls out the .357 and lays it on her lap so that she can easily pick it up.

004 reaches over very slowly and draws her close and kisses her.

He sits back.

004: I also don't want you to have to go through this again - ever.

*smiles*

009: Well, that makes two of us. So... we're okay?

*picks up gun as she speaks and hands it to him*

004 stands up and steps away from the bed.

*Thinking to himself* "Follow through, Matt. Finish it"

A deep breath. 004 pulls his Beretta out of his shoulder holster.

"Shoot Me.

009. You must."

"I...have to...(raises his weapon, slightly, but not on target)...if you don't-"

*gets out of bed*

009: Matt, what are you doing? What is this about? I don't WANT to shoot you. What is this?

*slowly gets closer*

009: WHY do I have to shoot you?

*Grabs his hand and tries to take the gun out of it*

*takes gun out of his hand*

009: Matt, Molly cured me. I'm okay now. I'm normal. Okay? Would you please stop scaring me now?

*Throws gun into corner of the room*

009: I don't WANT to shoot you. I want to find the son of a ***** who did this to me.

Deep breath.

So do I. 004 holsters his weapon.

Oh, but the way, 009?

*is relieved and sighs*

009: It was a test? But you trust me now?

*004 takes her hand*

009: What did you want to say?

004 with a smile: As your superior, 009, I am effectively putting you on report for disobeying a direct order. As such, you will be required to follow the instruction of the duty office of the day.

004 kisses her deeply and looks into her eyes.

004 picks up the .357, puts on the safety and puts it away.

Get dressed.

We've a bit of....shopping to do and I owe you lunch....er...or whatever meal you would like at this time of the day.

004 smiles and opens door.

009: And the meal... cherries will do just fine.
