You know, call me crazy, but to me she looks very much like Jane Seymour from Live and Let Die in that picture. Weird.

Anyway now that I have a pictoral reference I think she could do well as a Bond girl. I doubt very much that they will choose her for Bond 21 but I think she would be great in upcoming years. She was pretty good in Pirates of the Caribbean, too.

Actually, this pic is from the Sept '03 Empire magazine so we're safe. She turned 18 in March (oh my God, she's an Aries!). Maybe too young for Bond, but for zencat...

It's called tweezing, sweetie. Makes the eyes look bigger and transforms the face.

Miss Knightley might be good in a Bond film. Mind you, I'd rather see her as a Penelope Smallbone character rather than a larger Bond girl role.

I'm infatuated by Miss Knightley, she is beatuiful, and I thought she was wonderful in POTC.

As for her as a Bond girl, it would be alright if she wasn't the main Bond girl, maybe Moneypenny's neice or something. She shouldn't be the sex object of Bond, definantly to young.

It's all about suspension of disbelief, though. Was Moore really all that fantastically stunning? Especially in the likes of OCTOPUSSY and A VIEW TO A KILL? Personally, I feel he looks so old, raddled and out-of-shape in those films that you wonder whether he's even capable of getting it up, never mind pulling any woman on earth.

At least in Octopussy, the producers had the sense to cast "older" actresses to play Bond girls(women). At least that may the romance/seduction more palatable.

The Stacy Sutton character in AVTAK was older but she was the true damsel- waiting for Bond to save her at every turn.

We had a discussion tonight about the dearth of "older" actresses in contemporary cinema. I know Hollywood has a penchant for casting the new PYT(pretty young thang) but I'm tired of casting being determined by the Maxim set.

You know how upset I was not to find Keira at the DAD premiere? And no, the words are definetley not suitable for these forums. Actually, some would be. Hear her talk, watch her act; she's a hell of a talent. Check out The Hole for her and also Bend It Like Beckham.

I don't see why they couldn't work Keira as the villain's daughter or even mistress, but just teases Bond, while Bond has a more mature leading lady to dally with. Kind of like Bibi, but less of a bimbo. That way Eon gets the hot young actress to bring in the younger crowds and there's a plausible reason for Bond to have one woman like in TLD.

And you don't have to force her being into an unbelievable role like nuclear scientist.

Well, Keira's actual birthdate has been reported as two different things - 1983 and 1985. Since the latter is mentioned more often, let's say she's 19 (her birthday was in March). She certainly is a beautiful girl, and in the near future will develop into an absolute stunner, I have no doubt about that. But she still LOOKS like a girl, and they should wait until she grows a bit before casting her.

She has ability, as she proved in Doctor Zhivago, and she's poised to become a big star. So again, I think they should let her stew a bit.

She's one of the most beautiful young celebs out there, though. She'd be a great Bond girl--in time. And given the fact that she works without an agent and takes real care in choosing parts on her own, I think she'll see that this isn't the right time for her to venture into Bond either.

And oh yeah...she's not too young for me. I have a mere five month advantage on her. But I doubt she'd go for a young archaeology student
