Some points i noticed of his writing,

ever notice how in every house or building bond enters thats domestic theres at least two or more good oil paints or 'prints'?

Most of the villains are masters of digsuse...and can be anywhere?

We always end up at a location we never thought we'd get to such as disney world, the white house, the airport...

Machine Pistols are used heavely...(80s thing)

The Villains are always digusting or have some defornaty or something...

True, their were always a strong 80's mark in the novels by Gardner. He definitely spent a lot of time developing his villains.
