I dusted off my N64 yesterday and played a few rounds of GE - that game is pretty timeless. After my fingers unhinged from 2 years of PS2 controls playing the likes of GTA3 and MOH Frontline, it all came flooding back.

Might get Perfect Dark out tomorrow...anyone else revisited this classic game recently?

Ah, Perfect Dark.
Back in the simple days, what a brilliant game.

*rumages through old N64 games, searching for beloved Perfect Dark.*

I recently borrowed my friend's Goldeneye and I have been playing quite a bit all week. He has done everything in that game and has all of the cheats which make it a lot more fun. It truly is the best Bond game ever. The only thing I miss from it is that you can't jump like in TWINE. Other than that, it is great.

A fun, addictive game is a fun, addictive game, regardless of how far video game technology has come since 1997. Graphics can get prettier, but if it doesn't unlock that primal instinct that the best video games have, it's all just smoke and mirrors.

Agreed. Are there any other Bond games that rival Goldeneye, in anyone's opinion?

GE is the best. No Bond games rival it.

I've been seriously thinking about buying a used N64 for the sole purpose of this game. I sold my N64 ages ago for a PS1 which i in turn traded in for a PS2. Good to hear the GE controls are like riding a bike, something you never forget lol. Used to play this game religiously when i was a freshman in college.

Go for it. You can probably get one for next to nothing nowadays.

I probably will try and get hold of one if I can. Possibly ebay would be a good place to get one, since you can get a good package... but then, you never really know what you're getting.
