One question that came to my mind yesterday. Why was it Connery's stunt double and not Connery himself who shot the gunbarrel for Dr. No? I don't think a sudden turn is too dangerous for a man in his 30s? :)

Connery wasn't available, so stunt man Bob Simmons played Bond, with the shot filmed through a real gun barrel taped to the end of the camera. This was sued for the first three movies, the Connery filmed one for the rest of his "official" films. (NSNA didn't have one, though the producers were thinking about it, but lawsuits might have ensued.)
