I wish they had a Bottom's Up Club around here in the usa :)

I always thought this was a cool scene that 007 would go to a strip club

I love that camera work when they start off the scene!:) :) Does anyone think that they gave the girls hair extensions to hid their boobs?

I really love that small scene..:cool:

I remember a bar in Hamburg called the 007 club. It had topless waitresses and continuous pørn playing on a big screen. Anyone else been there? I'm talking early eighties here so I don't know if it's still there today.

Not sure what you mean -- there are plenty of strip clubs here in the US.

To get nitpicky, 007 never goes "inside" the club, he just waits around outside.

I am sure the actor did though, according to the DVD documentary he was a bit of a womanizer.

A bit!!?? :)

Herve Phillishave's womanising exploits are well known all over the world, but the ladies of Thailand in particular have never recovered.

That saying should be changed to "in like Herve."

While we're on the subject of that scene (the one with Bond outside of the club), I must say, it's one of my favorite parts of the movie. Especially when the music starts to pick up as Scaramanga gets ready to take his shot. The direction, the music, and the acting helped to make that a really tense scene.

Unfortanetely, we don't have many scenes like that in the latest Bond films :)

Yes! If the rest of the film had been done with as much style as the bar scene, I truly think Golden Gun would have been much better.

What came first, Fantasy Island or TMWTGG. I seem to remember they were around about the same time?

It's interesting too, cause the Scaramanga/Nick Nack relationship is similar to the Tatoo/Mr. Roarke relationship.

Question: Did I get his name right? Been a while since I've watched Fantasy Island.

I believe is was TMWTGG came first..

I can't see James Bond ripping off a TV show?? Didn't Aaron Spelling make that show..

he usually pumps stuff out soooo quick.. I can't see him thinking up something like that & Bond taking from him?

:)

Unrelated and quite possibly uninteresting, but when Bond and Andrea have a drink before going to the club, Bond says "bottoms up", as one might before having a drink and going to club of same name.

Then, in For Your Eyes Only, Bond says "bottoms up" again when having a drink with the Countess. Never one to look to references, etc, to previous films, but any chance this could possibly be one ?
