he'd had a good old cardio workout with magda ("thats my little octopussy") in his bed the night/morning prior....and dinner wasnt til 8:00.
and, oh, he'd only a spoon or two of the soufle' (sp.) so i recon he should have dug in.
bond is a man who always eats 'local specialities'. i'm sure he would have had some of the stuffed sheeps head had it not reminded him of gobinda!!!

that part reminded me of the lobster that crawls off a plate at blofeld's/shatterhand's dinner table in YOLT.
it's a shame we dont have touches of exotic dining moments in the more recent bonds. it would be a way of underlining the movie as a BOND movie and differentiate it from the other hollywood action stuff even more.

yeah i totally agree with you! Very interesting Post

I think we are missing little touches of the past which they just dont do anymore??
1) the one you described above

2) showing Bond checking into hotels & looking for bugs
3) filiming the movie like a post card

ALL these little moments make the new Bond films not 007 Films..

The sheeps head was much grosser than the scrambled eggs Bond eats in Flemings Live and Let Die.
