A couple of year ago my wife and kids bought me a
gold plated James Bond DB5 from the Danbury Mint
for my birthday. Today my wife received a brochure for
the Aston Martin Vanquish from DAD. It costs twice as much as
the DB5 did, but this is 1:12 scale. In the USA, you
can call their toll-free number and order the brochure.
Then, if you can't afford the car, at least you'll have
the colorful brochure. The Vanquich costs $399.00 plus
$7.80 shipping. Their toll-free number is 1-888-854-7108.
A couple of scans from the brochure are below.

Here's the second scan. (Can someone tell me how to put 2 scans in 1 post?)

By the way, the toll free number is active Monday through Friday , 9AM to 5PM Eastern Time. I noticed that the brochaure states that "...the Danbury Mint through a special arrangment with Kyosho..." offers the Vanquish.

I don't have enough money for the actual Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, I don't have enough for the 1:12 replica, so I guess I'll have to settle for the "colorful brochure."

I agree RIGHTY007. I'll stick with my $25.00 1:18 one I picked up when the movie was first released in theatres.

I wanted the DB5 but I waited too long and then I called and it had ben discontinued. I'm not going to miss out on this one though. I haven't bought any Bond stuff since last year so this can be my first (and maybe only) piece this year.

Or if I don't get it, I'll just tell people I got the invisible edition
.
Do you think or know if this one will be released in a Gold edition?

I couldn't find any information on either the USA or UK websites www.danburymint.com . I doubt that they'll do a gold one.
My wife received the notice about the DB5 so she and the kids decided to get me the gold one. A notice came about the silver/grey one also being discontinued, but we didn't get it.

I've seen these in the shops, generally each Modelzone shop will have one, just as they have the 1:12 Z8 (with leather interior etc.). They have the bonnet guns and grill missiles- they're just too big really (and expensive-

Ah, Modelzone. My source for Bond memorobilia. That's where I get nearly all my cars from and also where I got the Corgi Icon figures. They're a great shop.
