I'm not really sure where to post this, since it concerns Connery, I guess here will do fine.

In "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" near the end of the film when Indy's dad gets shot, if you look closely, you can see that he gets shot by a Walther PPK. Knowing Spielberg, this is'nt a coincidence, he put that in there on purpose.

I thought that was cute and worth pointing out :)

That's a very good observation Jimmy. Can't say I've ever noticed it myself (and it is my fav Indy film). I guess I'll have to go back and check it out. Thanks for the tip-off.

Mind you, was the Walther PPK even around in that time period? Are you sure it's not a different gun?

No, actually I'm not sure if it's a different gun or not. If it is a different gun, it looks pretty similar to the PPK. Perhaps a gun expert could clear this up?

I think the Walther pp/ ppk series has been around since the 1920s/30s

The Walther PP was introduced in 1929, the PPK in 1931, so yes it was very much around for the film's time period.

Ok so we'v established the time period now we need to check to mke sure it is the PPK as alot o gubs do look similar particularly pistols.
