Oh you guys are just jealous that we can pronounce "can't" without it sounding like a very bad word.
Here's to a country that's still great, no matter how much abuse it takes. In celebration, who wants to sit down and name all the times Bond visited America? (Hint: not me.) I can name one: Live and Let Die (the novel, at least. Forgive me for not remembering the setting of the film. I'm stupid that way.) And another: A View to a Kill (film, obviously).

Whoops, sorry for the lateness, but I hope our neighbours to the south had a good Independence Day.

Still reeling from too much barbeque, too much sun, and too many explosions over head.

So what did everyone do?

Sat in my room listening to Damien Rice and eating pudding out of a tea-cup.
I wish I was making that up.
The neighbors had firecrackers, though, which scared the living daylights out of my dogs. We had to give them downers, and they stumbled around all bleary-eyed and, for all I know, saying "Dude." to each other. One of them is still hung-over. Either that or he's experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

We actually didn't have many fireworks this year - but the neighbors definitely did.
