I've written an article for a french magazine about the James Bond books after Fleming.
The publisher needs good quality pictures of some covers.
I would like to know if some people could send me high resolution scanned pictures of nice U.S. and british covers.
I need Amis, Gardner and Benson books covers.
I hope I can find here someone to help me.
Thanks

My suggestion is eBay. You can find a lot of good pics on eBay, but you have to have much patience.

Just been on there (looking to complete my set you see) nothing much, but you might want a look anyway. I can't believe nobody is selling any of the UK reprints as I'm desperately in need of them and I don't want to fork out to much. I've just finished OHMSS (which was superb) and I really want to move onto YOLT but I can't find any cheap copies of the 2002 Uk version anywhere.

Does anyone know any good sites apart from eBay and Amazon?

My usual advice for questions like this: www.sfb.at
It is an Austrian site, but you can switch to English. And the results come from all over the world. Sometimes a bit slow but perfect when looking for books of any kind.

Is that a book shopping site then or a book search engine?

It's more a shopping site. You can search for the books at the main site and then contact the antiquarian who offers it by using a form. I don't now if you can bargain with the particular shops, but it might be worth a try. This site is also a good possibility to check out an average price when you're after a certain book at Ebay. I already saved some

I can provide you with Gardner and Benson. Which ones do you want? Or do just want a selection? US or UK?

Here's a few.

I strongly disagree that it's a good cover. It screams RAMBO III, or some soldier of fortune yarn, not James Bond. Where's the elegance, the mystery, the sophistication of Fleming covers past and present?

Most of the continuation novels have dreadful, tacky covers, IMO, although a couple of covers are excellent, notably that of "The Man With the Red Tattoo". Still, keep 'em coming, zencat.:)
