I don't know when I look at that "Dummy".. it looks waaaay to real! It looks like to me that They had Roger pose.. and all they did was put a "lighter/white" makeup on his face!
Because I have seen allot of Wax Dummy in my life.. yes they look very real, but NOT that real!
Does anyone know for sure.. IF they used a Wax Dummy in any of the shots (of course not including the fingers being shot off ).. But in any of the other shots..
To me it looks like Roger, just standing there with a lighter makeup on his face..
any ideas?? ...or thoughts????

Why spend that lot of money when you just need it for a few seconds? For the scenes in wich you see it from behind, they could use any ordinary display dummy anyway. For those with the face visible, well, they could do that makeup-thing.
This goes to show that both theories can be right: they used a wax dummy (albeit not a Roger/Tussaud one) and it was Roger himself (the face looks just too real).
Savings: about

Later, on the "train" ride you take, you see Roger's stature in the last modern scenes of London.

I think I might also be able to recall Grace Jones too, but I might be wrong.
I'd guess that Tussaud's simply let EON borrow their waxwork that was on display at the time, that would save them money, as it would be uneconomical to have one sculpted just for a few seconds of screen time.

Only at the end of the movie when Roger takes the dummy's place.Originally posted by BONDFINESSE 007
having gone back and looked again, i swear thats roger moore and no dummy
You're not suggesting that Rog's acting was wooden or plastic in some scenes?

also.. in some of the shots.. you can see the body/arm kinda move because NO one can stand 100% still..
who knows.. I say it is 70/30
70% Roger
30% wax dummy
* IF you look at the new Wax Dummy of Jennifer Lopez that got so much press a few weeks ago.. doesn't look as real 30 years later.. then the 1973 quality of 007 Roger?
How can that be.. wouldn't you assume that 30 years later the wax dummy's would look even more realistic then 1973:confused:

James Bond probably hid it somewhere in the fun house.Originally posted by DLibrasnow
