I personally got an Octopussy Magazine.. but it wasn't a comic book..

I'd love to know & if so.. buy some Roger 007 Comic Books!!

Marvel produced comic book adaptations of the movies FYEO and OP.

They did a FYEO two-parter in comic book size (I'm assuming this is what you're specifically looking for). It also appeared in magazine size (like the Octopussy adaptation) and a paperback book. As far as I know, the Octopussy adaptation never appeared in comic book size. If it did, I need it now!

There was a different Octopussy magazine size comic adaptation done in Sweden, also a Swedish AVTAK.

But I think that was it for the Roger films. With all the Moonraker merchandise, I'm amazed they didn't do a comic.

zen, I'm not sure of the vagaries of US/UK merchandise but in the UK, the Octopussy Marvel comic was hardback, like an annual.

The FYEO comic (larger format) was a magazine, albeit stronger than the two parter.

Hey, I didn't know there was a hardcover Octopussy. I'd like to get me one of those. I do have the LTK in a hardcover.

Thanks for the heads-up, Simon.

Likewise, I didn't know about the paperback Octopussy comic.

In fact, those Moore comics, the LTK hard and soft back, and the Dr No comic are about all that were done for English language comic adaptations, weren't they? Incredible that there were fully three variations for just one film.

Do you have the Dr No comic? Is it a faithful adaptation or does it wander?

I have the Dr. No comic. I haven't looked at it in a while, but I think it's pretty much the film.

The most unusual of the "comics" is that paperback book size FYEO. These were in vogue in the early '80s, but quickly disappeared (too hard on the eyes, I imagine). I remember there was one for The Empire Strikes Back which came out before the film and spoiled the "twist." I keep this one on the shelf with my novelizations.

I've got a Roger Moore comic dealing with his career. These were printed in about 1991 or 92. They also did ones on Connery and Dalton.

Just had a look at a US Octopussy comic on Ebay and it looks as though it has the same design of cover as the UK, just hardback.

Good luck with the hunting.
