Ok.. there is 2 versions..
Wings..
&
Guns and Roses
Which version do you like better and why??
Personally I kinda like G & R.. Axl's voice is rough and hardcore! Plus it is one of the best covers to a song
what are your thoughts?

There is a third which I like by Chrissie Hynd and it's on the David Arnold project CD. I think that is the best version because the guitars are that much more hardcore than Wings.
Axel Rose's voice grates on me. *wince*

I like the original version by Wings the best but the Guns N' Roses one is pretty good too. I didn't know Chrissie Hynd did a version...I'll have to get that cd sometime.

It will always be Paul McCartney & the Wings. LALD is one of my favorite rock songs, and I find the Guns'n'Roses cover to be a bit underwhelming.

For me the original Wings version is the best. G and R a close second. As to the David Arnold cover CD,there are somme great covers on that. Especially Thunderball,Moonraker, All Time High and All the time in the World.

Mac’s version is the best.
Chrissie Hynd’s version is pretty good, but I think David Arnold overproduced it to the detriment of the song. Still it’s still a nice version of the song. It just could have used a little pulling back on the extras.
The Guns ‘n’ Roses version is just dreadful. Axl’s voice is terrible on that song. They should have never released such a horrible recording.
On a side note: When we were first dating Mrs. * met the yet to be famous Axl Rose. Axl upon finding out that she was a hairdresser asked her what she thought he should do with his hair. Her reponse: ‘Wash it.’

There are actually four versions.
Brenda Arnu (I'm not sure about the spelling) sings it during the movie
It's Macca's verison, for the obvious reason that G&R are pants.

I've always wondered what BJ Arnau's initials stood for, now I half know.
As for the song itself, as far as I'm concerned there's only one Live And Let Die and that's the one sung by Sir Paul And Wings.

I have to go with the original version by McCartney. I like G&R but the original version can not to be topped.
BTW, there's even a Geri Halliwell cover. It's completely superfluous. Fortunately I wasn't too disappointed when I heard it for the first time because I didn't expect anything from it.
I guess it was her desperate try to get noticed for an original Bond title song.
