It was an action adventure movie set in World War II. The 'Calcutta Light Horse' was a group of retired British military men who were living out a life of retirement in Calcutta, India.
In the neutral port of Goa there was German ship that was transmitting Allied shipping departures and maneuvers to a German U-Boat that would lie in wait for the unsuspecting merchant ships.
Since Goa was a Portugese neutral territory the British military could not directly attack the ship so they asked the members of the 'Calcutta Light Horse' to do it for them.
I take it you have yet to see this movie 4 Ur Eyez Only, after you have watched "Ffolkes" you should check this one out. It's already on DVD and is one of the bargain movies that Warner Bros. DVD offers for under $10 -- it's a fun movie.

And was produced by the same team that brought us The Wild Geese, another wonderful action adventure starring (co-starring?) Roger.Originally posted by DLibrasnow
No...The Sea Wolves was made in 1980 and starred Roger Moore, Gregory Peck and David Niven.
Damn, why the hell hasn't that one come out on DVD yet!?

It's a mystery....I am glad "Ffolkes" is coming out on DVD and I got "Shout at the Devil" from the UK....I would have expected "Wild Geese" to have come out by now because it was a popular release in the theaters.

Joel Siegel just paid Gregory Peck a glowing tribute on "Good Morning America". He also pointed out that it was especially poignant for the great actor to pass away this close to Fathers Day, because Atticus Finch was a character that every father should aspire to.

and it was great!!! I can clearly see allot of movies ripped it off!! all the "die hard on a" Boat,train,ect... took the basic plot..
what I love about the movie is Roger's acting.. within 3 minutes of the movie I had NO feeling he was "James Bond".. now thats a great actor when your watching a movie and have no thoughts of the lead actor being the character he is famous for..
It is a very good movie..
IF I have one problem.. the DP was kinda average.. also the begining ..the editor didn't do a great job..
YOU can clearly see Roger's Crew in the 007 were a step above!! Not saying nothing about Ffolkes.. but more about how great the Movie Crew was on the Bonds at the sametime
Very good movie!!!
Roger was a pure Gem in this movie.. great acting.. not once did I think he was "007"
