IF you were in a 007 Movie.. which of Roger's Gadgets would be the best and most deadliest ??

I'd say the watch in Moonraker.. the dart gun watch!!

But I would worry everytime I flexed my wrist it would shoot

hahhahhaha :)

I would vote for the Lotus car/submarine....At the time (1977) it had been a full 12 years since we had last seen a gadget laden car (in the precredits sequence to TB), it felt cool to see a gadget car return after such a long stint.

Of course it would then be 10 more years before we would see Tim Dalton driving a new gadget car in TLD.

Has anyone else noticed the gadget cars seem to be a be a necessity now that EON gets lucket loads of cash from the car makers to include their latest models?!

you know I just watched FYEO.. and they really show on the LOTUS that is had electric windows..

they clearly focus on that :)

I forget.. what that a "new" special thing back then in 1981?

It was kinda funny.. they made another show and focus that the windows close "electrically"

:)

I love the bede jet hidden in the fake horse. That was so amazing in Octopussy when I first saw it in the theater. At first I thought he was going to ride the horse to get away. :) I also liked Bond's magnetic and cutting watch in LALD.

Yeah, I have. It's gotten to be an unfortunately predicatable part of the most recent films.

The last-minute deal in GE broke one of the major rules of stage and screen -- if you are going to bring a gun on stage in the first act, you have to make sure it goes off by the third. Otherwise what's the point of telling everybody he's got stinger missles, etc. other than you got a good deal out of it?

TND's car chase was fun as they actually used the gadgets in an enclosed setting. By TWINE, it came to a head and the predictability set in. At least in DAD they continued the tradition with Aston Martin.

As far as Moore gadgets go, I like the LALD Rolex, the MR wrist gun and the tracer watch from OP. When I was a kid, I used to put together gadgets from GI Joe toys and various things so I could play Bond.

Moore's best gadget was his power of persuasion with members of the animal kingdom. That tiger in OP was ready to maul him and all he had to say was "Sit-ah!" and that cat was as a tame as a kitten.

Also in OP, he talked the snaked into leaving just by whispering "Hiss off"

By MR, his powers seem to diminished because he had no luck with that python...he was lucky to get out alive.

Regardless, Dr. Doolittle's got nothing on this Bond!

1. Wrist-Dart-Gun from the 'Moonraker' mission.
2. The Lotus Espirit from 'The Spy Who Loved Me' mission.

The best Moore gadget ever had to be the Lotus. I still remember watching the movie for the first time and not believing Bond driving the Lotus in the water. I was like "is that it for the Lotus? it can't be ... we've only seen the car in action for not even two minutes." Then, once the car was submerged and turned itself in a submarine ... that was just awesome. And then shooting the helicopter from the sky from under the water was even more amazing.
