Actually I started the Mr* as my Mister Asterix is named for a character in my fan fiction. Here’s how the character explains it:

Of course he was, it was in "Odysee" (that's what it's called in Germany). He has that chariot that unfolds like Little Nelly, self-destructing letters and a fly as a messenger (who falls in love with him ). Haven't read that one for years. I'll see if I can find it anywhere in the vault, check it for references and provide some scans (if I'm allowed to).
Always wondered if you took the name from the cartoon or if you had another reason, Mr. A. Now I know.

Of course for a change Bond is wrong here and obviously isn't the amazingly well-read spy we thought he was: Asterix was a Gaul who fought the Vikings. Silly James, must try harder.

If I had that I wouldn't sell it. It's amazing what people will sell just to get a bit of money. I bet if he waits about 15 years he could get about three times as much.

Oh, now we expect Bond to be an expert on comics, too.
