First The Bond Essentials, now this!

But what has it been scrubbed in favour of? An encore screening of that Michael Jackson special which aired last week.

*shakes head in dismay*

With World War 3 in the background. The world needs a distraction so ,"The King of Pop" Michael Jackson will provide it. It too bad ,since the time could be better spent . Like removing the children from his care. The man is a walking freak show. Send him to Iraq!!!!

Channel 7 aint got a clue. If it wasn't for "24" and "Alias" , I would write them off completely. They really should've left the Bond films to Channel 10. At least 10 shows us a little more respect.

Totally agree, Vodka.

They pulled The X-Files movie several months ago too for no reason.

By-the-by, in case you haven't heard, 24 is having an encore presentation tonight [Thursday] at 9:30 featuring the first two episodes. Monday sees two more episodes air back-to-back.

Thanks, [dark]. I heard an ad on the radio for it about an hour ago. Damn Channel 7. Looks like I'll continue writing my script tomorrow night!

P.S.- I don't think it's a coincidence that Jack Bauer and 007 have the same initials, do you? Or am I stating the obvious?

With Dark on 24, it seems Bond fans love it. Ended up dogging the openair on monday night (encouraged by the weather mind you) for the first episode.

The MJ special will get better ratings than Bond, its a fair decision by 7 really, the hype started after it was screened here and i for one would like to catch up.

i love!!!!!!! 24. besides my obsession with buffy, it is easily the best show on television.
as for the decision by ch 7, who cares if tnd isnt on, i wouldnt wanna watch it on tv anyway. a great film like that should only be seen on dvd

I'm glad to see that you're getting the best show on TV down under. I'll repeat that...the BEST show on TV. I just wonder how far behind you are. Did someone say the first two are being shown? We've gotten I think, 12. Just wait...you have no idea!!!

Yeah, we're up to the first two episodes of the second season.

Looks like - for now - the episodes are being shown at a rate of two per week.

I hate Channel 7.
I don't care if I'm not going to watch it on TV coz I have the DVD, but for heavens sakes have Bond on TV for the people who don't.

Oh i love you for saying that jriv! I mean think how much you knew at 2am in season one...

And if you know season one jriv think how much you still have to go....we didn't know anything at midday or as it turned out 10:50pm either....

If it can beat that season i will be dumbfounded.

Easily. I loved season 1, but I wasn't sure I was going to commit to season 2, until I watched the first episode. Now, I actually bought the first season on DVD (in spite of Dennis Hopper), on the strength of season 2, knowing that when IT comes out, I'll want it. Does that make sense?
The parallels to real events will FRIGHTEN you. The best written show since Homicide:Life on the Street. (Don't know if you got that one over there.)

Yeah, we get Homicide: Life On The Street down here in Australia whenever the TV stations are in a generous mood. Haven't had a new season for some time, however.
As for buying season 1 of "24" , I did the same. I had a feeling that it would be hard to find once the second season got under way. Like you said, Jriv, the writing is excellent.

Brilliant 24 tonight. This season is set to be great.

As for Tomorrow Never Dies back this Friday? Not according to anywhere I've seen.

My bad.

It will air this week in place of Pitch Black.

Good for Seven!

You just saw the ad for it, didn't you, dark?
24 had me on the edge of my seat tonight. Man, those writers are working overtime on this season.
TND instead of "Pitch Black"? Looks like Bond stomps on xXx once again.

Guess it was time for a station break... Hmm. Bad pun intended.

24 looks to be ramping up nicely this season. Can't wait to see what unfolds.

But you'd think 7 would at least show the bloody Bond special after TND. Wouldn't that make sense??????

Nope, haven't seen an ad yet, but I saw the movie listed at an on-line TV guide.

I know; I'm really disappointed that Seven have given up on The Bond Essentials. I'd love to see it.
