This is just a curiosity question: In FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, Bond is about to tell Moneypenny the "secret of the world" but he is interupted by M. Any thoughts what the secret of the world according to Bond might be?

Interesting but it is doubtful that Bond would go that far with his flirtation with Moneypenny.

"The secret of the world"? hmm...

My best guess would be that a way to a woman's heart if through her clitoris?

Well he does offer her drinks at his place at 8 in OHMSS, and we know where that would lead.

This is foul on so many levels. I-I-I can't begin to fathom...Diamonds are Forever is a cartoon (a bad cartoon) and should be disassociated with Bond/MGM/EON forever.

Just a few things to comment on: Dalton at his best? When did this ever happen? Diamonds Are Forever is a fine film, a bit dated for a film made in 1971, but who cares? It's a fun movie.

I think it's just a flirting trick...He can get Moneypenny to bring her ear closer so that he can steal a friendly peck on her cheek.

A purely rhetorical statement like "I love you" and "I respect you."

Bond loves Moneypenny...you're right... that would be the Secret of the World.

DAF is an awful movie. Just because we're Bond/Connery fans, doesn't mean we can't be honest. It wasn't just bad for a Bond film, it was bad, period. An embarassment to Connery's career. There's no way this trash was better than Dalton at his best. That is, every time he was on screen. I'm not saying YOU have to like him, but let's be honest, DAF should almost be excluded from EON's series, like NSNA. Blofeld in drag???

I agree with Thunderball8, with Bond just sneaking a kiss with her coming closer to hear the secret of the world. As for DAF, I'm not a Connery fan, but I think he was the best Bond. DAF, was a very fun film, with smart, funny lines and Charles Grey playing a great villain. Mr Wint and Mr Kidd were eerie, excellent henchman. All in all I loved the film.

The secret of the world?... Ah, but then it wouldn't be a secret!
P.S... Must EVERY thread be turned into a "trash DAF thread" by
the DAF haters? WE love it,YOU hate it. Everyone's entitled to their
opinion. Let's ALL get over it!!!

I still don't quite understand how my thread took an anti-DAF turn. Ironically, DAF is my least favorite Bond film but that's not what this thread is about!

Well what ever it is . It is certainly one of the most exotic and romantic things i ever heard . It would get any women in the mood. Esppecially since it's uttered by Sean Connery .

He was going to tell her the truth about the Kennedy assassination. THAT is really why all those people were trying to kill Bond in the rest of the movie. He knew too much. BTW, that wasn't really Bond in the beginning. If you put up that Bond's face with a photography side by side, you can see that one of them has been tampered--

Ah, hell, who am I kidding? They were just flirting. Right?

Nope, you're not but like I said, this isn't an anti-DAF thread. However, I am thinking of starting a DAF thread where we can talk about it! I'd be happy if you'd join me there when I create it. I'll post the link here when I have time to write it!
