(Sorry I meant to post this to a separate thread)

I've found out that you can bind keys just like in Quake/Half-Life. I'm testing some of the more common ones to see if they work. I'm trying to see if a screen shot can be taken while you're playing in Multiplayer.

I don't see a file that has all your keyboard binds in a text file like in H/L/ so the binding list must be done behind the scenes.

Console Commands:

A) If you ever get stuck in an MP map bug and can't move (It's happened to me many times) you can type the following command to respawn:

kill

:) Also, If you're in a hurry and you want to get out of your game real quickly, use the following command to take you back to your operating system:

quit

C) I've found that you can bind a key or keys to say messages to people while in game. There are two message modes in the game:

1) Talk to everyone. This allows everyone who is playing the game to read whatever you write.

2)Talk to your teammates (In CTF and team DM)

To bind a key you must open your console within Multiplayer (to do this look at a past post of mine http://forums.comman...=&threadid=6655 and add the console command to the autoexec.cfg file) and type:

For everyone playing:

bind "say message"

ex. bind p "say Incoming!!!!"

For only your team mates in CTF or Team DM:

bind "say_team mnessage"

ex. bind h "say_team I'm on Defense! Go get the flag!!!"

I'll post more as I find them.

This is another cool thing that the Console version of this game doesn't have.

I also wanted to add a few more things regarding this topic.

1) You can add the binds to your autoexec.cfg so you won't have to bind everything everytime you play MP.

2) The say_team commands are Really useful when playing CTF and you need help or assistance with carrying a flag or gibbing a flag carrier on the other team.

3) You can use the bind for Shameless promotion

I have one that sez the following (no Joke):

"Go to nightfire.commanderbond.net for all your NightFire Needs!!!"

I use this a few times during a map or when a n00b asks a question.

Shoot, I keep forgetting to add this note.

You can add mouse commands to the binds as well.

To add a mouse bind use:

mouse1 (mouse button 1)
mouse2 (mouse button 2)

etc.

Some Microsoft Optical Mice can have up to 7 binds:

My IntelliMouse Optical has the following buttons available.

Mouse1 (Left click button)
Mouse2 (right click button)
Mouse3 (press on the scroll wheel to activate this button)
Mouse4 (left Side)
Mouse5 (right side)
Wheelup
Wheeldown
