103! He must have had a little sip from the Holy Grail in The Last Crusade. What a life. Rest In Peace.

A true master of his craft.  Someone who never imposed his own style on the films but found the perfect one for each endeavour.

Rest in peace, Sir.

A cracking age to reach with a wonderful legacy of work behind him, and pushing 70 when he did the Indy films? Good work that man!

RIP Mr Slocombe.

103!  I had no idea what age he was when I saw his name on the credits.  Didn't think for a minute he would have been in his 70s for the Indy films or NSNA.

Incredible life.

RIP.

Apparently Connery personally insisted on him for Never Say Never Again, claiming that Slocombe would give the film "prestige and substance".

I think he was famous for shooting without the need to use a light meter. His films were richly photographed. RIP.
