I highly doubt official websites bring it a lot of commerical success these days. I mean, most big name movies have Facebook and other social networking websites to lean on really. Having an official website would only be an expensive way to have a few trailers, some film stills, a synopsis and a cast break down all in one place. Let's face it. Most of these can be found on Facebook anyway. Not to mention Youtube for the media advertising. Social Networking is a much easier way of promoting a film rather than having an official website there that no one really bothers visiting anymore. A website that costs quite a bit of money to keep running probably. 007.com is still up and running, and posting all news and updates there, too. Why go to the trouble of having a seperate standalone website - plus it would've probably ended up leaking the title of the movie early. Like every other time a Bond film has tried to launch it's website on the sly.
I know Jurassic World had an official site, but come to think of it, do many films have 'offical websites' these days? It seems like something that doesn't seem to bother anyone anymore.
