FINAL TRAILER CONFIRMED - the editing team at Chinagraph London are putting finishing touches today. Expect classification on BBFC later this week/early next week, release closer to end of the month (with Sony's The Walk?)

Final trailers tend to be 50/50 runtime-wise: some are 2:30 like the theatrical, some are shorter, at 1:30 usually. One thing's for sure though, lots of new footage, but I think it will be more atmospheric, less plot - closer to the teaser. I'm hoping so anyway. Check out the theatrical and final trailers for Interstellar and compare them:




This also marks the first final trailer for the Bond franchise I believe - and makes SPECTRE the first three-trailer (teaser, theatrical, final) campaign.

The two punch of this and the theme at the end of the month is a brilliant way to kick things off...

Question is - whether this final trailer will feature the theme...or will they have a separate TV promo spot with the theme, like Skyfall and a different final trailer. Honestly, I'd prefer the latter...and I'd love for the final trailer to go back to the moody and atmospheric style of the teaser trailer. I was hoping the theatrical trailer would be like that, alas...

Fantastic news! I've been wondering about a final trailer over the past few days! It seems the right way to go, I always did think we'd get another trailer. And once that hits... it's TV Spot time.

Could be true. The Austria content will be visually exciting from a pure action perspective. I won't go into details due to spoilers, but I think the Morocco sequences will be really old school Bond.

Interesting, sharpshooter! I do not avoid spoilers (haven't read the leaked script, though), but there is so little I know about the Morocco part, it makes me feel extremely curious. And genuinely excited.

Well I reckon it'll be action packed and feature the song for sure - what better way to push the song itself and the film at the same time. Can't wait to see it!

Short and sweet indeed... I do much prefer it when trailers don't give away the entire plot, but I was expecting this third trailer to be longer and more plot-focussed. I'm fine that it seems not to be, but that's assuming there IS actually a plot in there... I know precious little about who is up to what and why, and just hope that that's because it's been held back, and some thought has really gone into making this film have a good, sense-making plot. I'm excited to see what the writers think an organisation like Spectre would be up to in 2015. Guess I'll find out soon enough...

I think the second trailer was meant to be the "plot-focused" one - plus it was already the full length (2:30).

This one I think is sure to be action packed, just take a look at this similar 1-minute "final trailer":

Trailers have evolved in terms of what to show/give away plot wise over the past few years for sure....I'd say the SPECTRE trailer out of all of the major full trailers released is probably the one closest to that more old approach. The other don't give away stuff that easily either. In fact the main issue with the full SPECTRE trailer is that is has too many things in too little time - it feels a bit disjointed...

The final trailer has now been CONFIRMED to play in U.S. cinemas this week - with Lionsgate's Sicario, and in IMAX with The Walk.
