So there's a whole bunch of stuff on Youtube now that can be considered pure gold in the eyes of many Bond fans. With a film series spanning over 50 years, it's no easy task trying to track down every tv special or interview conducted ever, but Youtube is bloody great for it.

So I propose this thread. I'll pin it so hopefully it will be full of treasures in no time! Come across anything Bond related to share? Would be nice to get all of this in one place. There's some really rare stuff out there, things I definitely haven't seen anyway. Nothing better than indulging yourself further in the series. 3 months to go.

The early days of James Bond - CBC Archives

Tomorrow Never Dies - Exclusive (1997) - There's an interesting moment in Part 2 where they talk about production problems etc.

Brilliant find, DC - thanks for this. You can't beat the BTS shows and documentaries like this.  :)

I admit I enjoyed watching the old VHS trailer...you know the one...."Looking for a little peace and quiet?"

Cracking editing on that one.

How it all began. Great interviews with Terence Young. Except the really awkward part where he says Bond is going to take Sylvia Trench home and 'lay her as clean as a whistle'. Hmmm. Anyway...

"In spite of the critics, the film is a fantastic box office success. And in America Mr Lazenby himself has been voted the most promising newcomer of the year."

I was there front row when they filmed that, on Graham Norton, with Craig, Dench and Bardem.

Untitledd58b2.png

I actually managed to interact with Craig and Dench when they talked about their favourite Bond films, Judi commented that hers was "the one with the shoe, and the spike..thing that came out, From Russia With Love...I think?"

Then like an idiot, just zoned into their casual conversation, I just said (louder than I thought) "That's right."

Norton heard me, turned and said "You, is that right? You're wearing glasses so I believe you anyway!"

Then all eyes from the sofa on me (sat in a 007 polo shirt also) said "Yes, 'From Russia With Love."

Then DC piped up and just asked "That's it, what was the woman called?"

"Rosa Klebb."

"That's it." - from both Daniel and Judi.

"She had her shoe, activated the spike inside and used it to try kill Bond."

And Graham thanked me and they all seemed happy with that, and then continued!

I was blown away after and realised what I'd actually done - chatted to 007 and M about Bond films! I signed a document after in case they used it, but they didn't as I wasn't near a microphone so couldn't hear me well. Gutted. BUT I'll never forget that memory and being so close to them. :)

Sorry! Just wanted to share that with fellow Bond fans and none of my family really cared! #Sad

But interesting here how much Craig sounds like he's enjoying being Bond and the process, so then to hear after 'SPECTRE' he sounds almost done, makes me doubt what media currently say or interpret.

Cheers guys. :)

Loving these old videos - YouTube is a blessing!

Here's one I found I like a great deal and watched so much on video when I was introduced to 007 in the 90s as my first real "encyclopedia" of the 30 years so far:

The Real Casino Royale (2006)

Some nice bits here I haven't seen before. Love the bit with Ian Fleming telling a bird to buzz off and apologising for the noise.
